President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have extended heartfelt congratulations to Pakistani scientists following the successful launch of the country’s remote sensing satellite.
President Zardari, in his official statement on Thursday, praised the technical excellence and dedication of Pakistani scientists, calling the achievement a proud moment and a significant milestone in Pakistan’s growing space capabilities. He emphasised that the newly launched satellite will play a vital role in disaster monitoring, early warning systems, agriculture, infrastructure development, urban planning, and environmental observation.
The President also expressed gratitude to China for its unwavering support in the launch, highlighting the success as a reflection of Pakistan-China strategic cooperation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif echoed these sentiments in a message shared on platform X, stating that the satellite launch symbolizes the ever-deepening collaboration between Pakistan and China, one that now reaches beyond borders and into space. He stressed the satellite’s importance for enhancing CPEC-related projects and emphasized its wide-ranging applications in sectors such as agriculture, disaster management, urban development, transportation mapping, and environmental data collection.
The Prime Minister also acknowledged China’s key role in advancing Pakistan’s space program through continued partnership and technical assistance.
